Our company has served Barrie, Simcoe County and Muskoka County since 1992. Originally operating under the banner/name of a National Tier One Franchise Operation for 22 years, we changed our name to SUPERIOR in September 2014 after choosing not to renew our franchise agreement. We believe being an independent Dealer allows us to serve our clients and community even better! We are located at 56 Churchilll Drive, Units 1-3 in the south end of Barrie, Ontario. We are an authorized vendor for ADP, ODSP, WSIB and VAC. We also work very closely with many insurance companies, local hospitals, long term care facilities, retirement homes, Doctors and Therapists.
We cover the Simcoe County geographic area from Barrie, Innisfil, Alliston, Orillia, Midland, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Bradford, Newmarket and Muskoka County.
John Tom, Owner
John is a professional accountant by training with a 28-year career in Retail, Information Technology, Financial Services and Healthcare. This background provides him with the experience and knowledge to successfully operate SUPERIOR Home Health Care. John prides himself on providing his clients, their family members and health care professionals with the information and education required for them to make the right decisions when selecting home medical equipment or supplies. He is proud of his team of professionals and the positive impact they have on the health care system and the community in Simcoe and Muskoka.
Suzi Schultz, General Manager
Suzi has a strong background in retail sales and management with over 20 years experience. She is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, always going above and beyond to ensure our clients always feel valued and much more than just a sale. Suzi and her team of Health Care Professionals are well educated in home medical supplies and equipment creating a positive relationship with our clients, medical professionals and community groups. Suzi is an extraordinary role model to her peers and staff, encouraging everyone to create a positive difference in the life of others!
Suzi Jennings, Community Relations Manager
Suzi has more than 20 years experience within the customer service industry. Suzi is working closely with the community’s Pharmacists and Physicians, long-term care facilities, retirement residences and the senior community to manage and improve customer relationships, experiences and outcomes. She is energetic and has an upbeat personality, making a positive impact in the community.
Charlotte (Char) Cousins, Service Manager
Char has more than 15 years experience within the customer service industry. As the Service Manager she ensures the highest levels of customer care and satisfaction. Char has strong technical knowledge acquired through various education and training programs and courses. She also has great practical and diagnostic skills to identify service requirements and assess the work of her technicians. Char has excellent communication skills and is able to interpret customers’ descriptions of their equipment problem and translate those into clear instructions for the Service Technicians. She also has excellent customer service skills to deal with any customer concerns or issues. Not only is Char the Service Manager, she is also our Senior Administrator.
Mike Gilligan, Accessibility Consultant
Mike brings with him almost 30 years experience in the Home Medical Equipment Industry. Mike is compassionate about his career, having been an owner, manager and a rehab consultant. He is dedicated to providing the best possible solutions to meet the needs of his clients. Mike has established relationships with clients, therapists, rehab agencies, and community funding agencies which will contribute a positive influence in his role as a Rehab Consultant with SUPERIOR Home Health Care. He believes in solving his customers’ needs and being current on new developments in the field in order to provide competitive information and make a difference in his customers’ lives.
Mark Stewart, Rehab Consultant
Mark has more than 15 year’s sales and rehab experience in the home health care industry. He takes the time to understand a client’s needs and challenges to formulate a plan for resolving their mobility or accessibility needs. Mark is dedicated to supplying all of his clients with the right mobility and daily living aids to help enhance their quality of life. Mark will travel to the client’s home or you can call to book a visit with him in our showroom. He looks forward to helping to keep you moving safely and independently.
Grant Wager, Rehab Consultant
Grant is an accomplished rehab sales consultant with more than 30 years experience in the Home Medical Equipment Industry. His extensive knowledge gives him the ability to quickly assess the needs of his clients and deliver exceptional customer service. He has developed strong relationships with his clients in the Muskoka area where he has lived with his family for the past 15 years.
Alayna Kollman, Rehab Consultant
Alayna is an Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant, who graduated from Georgian College in 2014. She has more than two years clinical and vendor experience. She has worked in long term care facilities, rehab clinics, and an in-patient hospital setting. Alayna is committed to assist and serve our clients, caregivers and Healthcare professionals to assist in providing the most suitable equipment for her clients. Alayna’s enthusiasm for education doesn’t stop at learning, she volunteers to supervise and mentor 3rd and 4th semester OTA PTA students from Georgian College during their intermediate and consolation placements.
Sarah Johnson, Home Health Care Consultant
Sarah has more than 15 years’ retail and sales experience. She is well educated and knowledgeable providing friendly and helpful service to her clients by assisting them with their home health care equipment or supply needs. Sarah is empathetic and treats all of her clients with respect even in the most challenging situations. Not only does Sarah provide positive initial engagements with her clients, she also takes great pleasure on maintaining the appearance of our showroom.
Stephen Richardson, Service Technician
Stephen is a Class A Mechanic with more than 10 years experience. He has a great working knowledge for installations, maintenance and repair of Home Medical Equipment and takes the time to educate his clients how their equipment works, what the limitations are, and what it can and cannot do. He has a genuine concern and heart for people and takes the time to get to know his clients. He is committed to providing the best possible customer service.
Arron Moore, Service Technician
Arron has more than 3 years experience in the Home Medical Equipment Industry. He will work directly with clients in their homes to deliver, install, repair or service Home Medical Equipment. He has a positive attitude and is committed to meeting the needs of his clients.
Murphy Tom, The Office Dog
Murphy enjoys meeting all of our clients and hopes to make them feel welcome and make their day a happier one. When not greeting clients, Murphy spends his day as a guard dog, a therapy dog, and a hunter of treats. He is the only staff member who is allowed to sleep on the job.
Murphy was born on January 27th, 2015 and is already 40% retired – he usually visits the store 3 days per week.
